Hi, I’m Eric Acquaye—A New York City based Photographer, Creative Director, and visual storyteller with a focus on fashion and portraiture. My work blends creativity, culture, and connection, capturing vibrant narratives with style and experience.
Raised between Ghana and the U.S., I bring a global perspective and an empathetic lens to everything I do. I studied Communications and Informatics at SUNY Buffalo before honing my creative craft at the Fashion Institute of Technology. My early career in publishing sharpened both my creative eye and technical skills, as I worked behind the scenes on award-winning book covers and photographed some of today’s most recognized authors. This paved the way for a full-time freelance journey that’s taken me from the runways of New York Fashion Week to internationally published editorials.
Beyond the camera, I’m a true people person—an empath, optimist, and connector who thrives on collaboration and storytelling. I’m also a lifelong foodie and avid traveler, always chasing new flavors, faces, and places to inspire my next creative chapter. At the heart of it all, I’m here to tell stories—with love, light, and a camera in hand.
